PHOTOGRAPHY OF GEORGE SANKER
IMAGES OF THE WILDERNESS

NEWS

Greetings,

I traveled to Yellowstone twice this year, once in the spring and once in the fall.  Both trips were productive and exciting, despite the never-ending pandemic.

When I left in the spring I had received two COVID Pfizer shots and thought the pandemic was over for me.  When I left in the fall I had just received my booster shot.  I felt safe.  Now, on January 1, 2022, the virus is spreading like wildfire.  Do I need a fourth shot?  I have not been infected yet, but I do have two photo expeditions scheduled for 2022, one to Florida and one back to the Rockies.  If everyone had gotten vaccinated we'd be in great shape.  Now?  Who knows.

I did not travel in 2020 due to the pandemic, but with our business closed on or about the 1st of April,  I photographed almost every day in Acadia National Park.  I posted those images in a section of the Image Library titled Photography During the Pandemic.

As it turned out, all my photography this year was also taken during the pandemic.  However,  I updated the website this year in my normal fashion, with images posted in the sections of the Image Library for Acadia National Park and Yellowstone National Park primarily, plus a few for Grand Teton National Park.

The new images include red fox, deer, and herons in Acadia, and red fox, great gray owls, coyote, and grizzly bears in Yellowstone.  And more.

If you visit Acadia National Park, please visit our custom frame shop and gallery, Acadia Frameworks, at 288 Main Street, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, telephone 207-801-9348, email info@acadiaframeworks.com.
