PHOTOGRAPHY OF GEORGE SANKER
IMAGES OF THE WILDERNESS

FEATURED IMAGE

Comet NEOWISE was one of the bright spots we all experienced in 2020, forever to be known as the Year of the Pandemic.  Unfortunately, the pandemic now rages in January 2021, but the comet is no longer visible in Earth's skies.

This photograph was taken on the night of July 19, from the shore of Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park, Maine.

I was unable to travel to photograph this year because of the pandemic.  I also had to shut down my gallery and frame shop in Bar Harbor at the end of March, but that did allow me to photograph wildlife in Acadia almost every day in 2020.

I have updated therefore my website with almost 250 new images, all taken during the pandemic.   To view these images, please go to Image Library and then link to Photography During the Pandemic.
